Voice mail takes messages from callers when you can't answer your phone, your phone is turned off or you're on a call, or if you are out of your coverage area. It keeps you in contact with your friends and family, you won't miss a thing.
As an iWireless customer your voicemail comes with the purchase of your phone. Checking your voicemail will be charged according to the rates of your iWireless voice plan.
Does my i-wireless account get charged when someone leaves a message in my voice mail box?
No, your account does not get charged when your caller leaves a message. Your account will be charged normal per-minute rates when you retrieve your messages from your i-wireless phone. Your account is not charged for retrieval if you are calling from another touch-tone phone.

When you hear the voice mail greeting (this greeting comes after the announcement telling you how many minutes you have for this call), press * to interrupt the greeting.
The system will ask for a temporary password. Your temporary password is 1111.
When prompted, use your touch-tone keypad to enter a new, easy-to-remember 4 to 15 digit password, then press #. This is now your password for retrieving messages. Be sure to write this password down and save it in a secure place in case you forget your password and need to remind yourself.
When prompted please record your first and last name. This recording of your name will be played to other i-wireless subscribers when they access a message left by you in their i-wireless mailbox.
Choose whether to record your own, personal mailbox greeting or use the system greeting. If you choose to record a personal greeting, record your greeting when prompted.
Call your i-wireless phone number from your i-wireless phone or any touch-tone phone.
Press * to interrupt the voice mail greeting.
Enter your password and press # again. Your messages will be played for you.
After you've listened to a message, the system will prompt you to save or erase. If you do not respond, your message will be skipped and the next message will begin to play. Your mailbox can store up to twenty, 3-minute messages for up to 15 days.

i-wireless users lose their voice mail privileges if their i-wireless account has a zero-balance (no money left in airtime account). This means the user's voice mail box will not allow voice messages to be deposited until they add minutes back into their account. If your account maintains a zero-balance for 60 days or longer, your voice mail box will be deleted and the user must request voice mail activation if and when you add money to your account.
If you do not set up your voice mail box within the first 2 months after a new account activation, your voice mail box will be deleted and you will need to request voice mail activation if you decide you wish to add it to your account later.
