Lifeline Wireless Program






How do I set up my voicemail?


  1. Call your 10 digit phone number from your i-wireless Lifeline Phone
  2. You will hear the voicemail set-up greeting. Interrupt it by pressing *
  3. The system will ask for a temporary password. Enter 1111
  4. At the prompt, enter a new 4 to 15 digit number, then press #. This is your password.





What rate plans are available with i-wireless Lifeline?


Lifeline customers are able to select any of the following great rate plans:

  • The Connect Plan: No Monthly Service Fee
    • 250 Local Anytmes Minutes, .10¢ per additional local minute
    • .10¢ per roaming minute
    • 250 Text Message per month, $0.20 per additional message
  • The Unlimited Talk & Text Plan: $25.00 Per Month ($22.75 in KY)
    • Unlimited Anytime Minutes
    • Unlimited Text Messaging
    • 100 Nationwide Roaming Minutes, .10¢ per additional roaming minute
    • .05¢ per Data Kb
  • The Mega Monthly Plan: $35.00 Per Month ($32.75 in KY)
    • Unlimited Anytime Minutes
    • Unlimited Text Messaging
    • 1,000 Nationwide Roaming Minutes, .10¢ per additional roaming minute
    • 100Mb of Data per Month
    • .05¢ per Data Kb Overages
  • The Mega Monthly + Smart Data Plan: $50.00 Per Month ($47.75 in KY)

Can I change my lifeline rate plan?


Yes, you may change from one Lifeline rate plan to another without going through the eligibility process again. To change your rate plan dial #TXT from your phone.






How do I keep my discount?


In order to keep your Lifeline Discount it is very important to use your phone throughout the course of the month by placing or receiving a call. If you do not place or receive a call for 90 consecutive days on the Connect Plan or a service fee is not collected on the Unlimited Talk & Text or Mega Monthly Plans for 3 consecutive months, your account will be cancelled and you will have to re-enroll in the Lifeline program.

All Lifeline customers that have not activated new Lifeline service in the past 30 days will receive a recertification mailing or text message between the months of May and July that must be completed/replied to in order to keep your discount. Failure to comply with the recertification process may result in a loss of the Lifeline discount. Please note that if your address changes or you no longer qualify for a program that is eligible for the Lifeline Wireless discount you will need to notify i-wireless at 1-877-339-5499. Your recertification mailing will be delivered to your address on file.

  • Social Security Disability Income (SSDI)
  • Ohio Works First (Formerly AFDC) TANF
  • Free School Lunch Program

**Ohio customers can also qualify through Income Eligibility
